Pre-export Verification of Conformity (PVoC) of products for Tanzanian Bureau of Standards (TBS)

Bureau Veritas will start the Pre-export Verification of Conformity (PVoC )of products for Tanzanian Bureau of Standards (TBS) on the 15th February 2012.
The products covered include:
* Food and related products
* Chemical and related products
* Mechanical material and gas appliances
* Toys and sports
* Electrical and electronics
* Automotive parts
* Paper and stationery
* Personal safety equipment
* Used products
Companies exporting these types of goods to Tanzania must get the required Certificate of Conformity (CoC) after having the conformity of the goods checked prior to shipment. To do so, exporters are advised to contact Bureau Veritas with: the list of products, related conformity proofs to Tanzanian standards or international/regional/national standards.
To facilitate trade and to adjust intervention according to the risk, the PVoC programme offers three different routes to demonstrate products compliance:
* Route A: Applicable to any goods and any trader
* Route B: Option for frequent traders of goods that have been registered by Bureau Veritas
* Route C: Option for frequent traders of goods that have been licensed by Bureau Veritas
